Completed project
Campsbourne Play Centre
Haringey, London · Local Authority Play Centre
Ground-level play trees, balance logs and carved features creating a natural play trail across a council-run community play space.
Play trees • Balance logs • Carved sculpture
The starting point
The brief
A council-run community play space that needed natural play across the whole site rather than one piece of equipment in one spot.
What we built
In the finished space
- Ground-level play trees
- Balance logs and stepping timbers
- Carved timber features
- A trail linking the areas together
How it's used
The difference it makes
Moving around the site became part of the play, and the ground-level design keeps it open to a wide range of ages and abilities.
Ways to play
The play this space supports.
We use the recognised types of play as a design lens rather than a checklist, so a single structure can offer several very different kinds of play.
