Completed project
Treehouse & Rope Adventure
London · Adventure Playground
Timber towers, rope crossings, climbing nets and imaginative play spaces built for an open-access adventure playground where children choose their own level of challenge.
Timber tower • Cargo nets • High-level walkway
The starting point
The brief
An open-access adventure playground where children arrive at very different ages and confidence levels, and choose for themselves how far to go.
What we built
In the finished space
- Timber tower with several ways up
- Cargo nets and climbing routes
- High-level walkway between platforms
- Sheltered spaces underneath for quieter play
How it's used
The difference it makes
Children can pick their own level of challenge on the same structure, so the space keeps working as they grow more capable.
Ways to play
The play this space supports.
We use the recognised types of play as a design lens rather than a checklist, so a single structure can offer several very different kinds of play.
